On December 11th, 2019 with no notification, PayPal sent all the money in my account, $41,118,85 to itself with a memo saying it was for damages for violating their “acceptable use policy”. I haven’t done anything that would violate that policy and even have a recording of someone in the PayPal limitations department saying I didn’t have any transactions that would cause violations. After spending hours on the phone with customer service (mostly on hold) I have realized that the department that decides what is a violation is a mysterious “collective” and is completely separate from customer service. Their response was basically, here’s the address for our legal department…
So far, I have had two tickets trying to figure out why I was given the violations. The first one was closed without telling me and the second one I am still waiting to hear the results. I had my lawyer draft a letter, which I sent to PayPal’s legal department.
Hopefully this will get resolved and I can have information here that will help you if you are in the same situation.
I advise everyone to stop using PayPal and if you do definitely DON’T KEEP MONEY IN YOUR PAYPAL ACCOUNT!!
